Your tires keep your vehicle connected to the road. Keeping them in good shape keeps you and others on the road safe. Here are a few things you can do to help keep yourself and those around you safe.
Regularly Check Your Tires
Most modern vehicles are full of sensors to tell us when a part or system may need service. Tire pressure sensors can help, but they don’t let you know everything about your tires. Checking for any cracking or bulges is a good idea, as those can lead to a blowout. Inspecting your tread life is also recommended. Most tires have wear bars molded into the tread; if those are even with the tread, it may be time for new tires.
Rotate Your Tires
When you rotate your tires, you help them wear evenly throughout their life. Uneven tires can cause issues with alignment. They can also cause issues with traction, stopping, and turning. Having your tires rotated at each oil change is a good practice.
